Really beautiful interior. Not really sure the identity of the food, is it supposed to be Asian fusion? I could have probably had this food at 10+ different restaurants, and most likely for cheaper. The milk bread was delicious, the sea bream had perfect crisp skin. But the lamb was sort of oddly chunky and uneven. The tartare was, fine nothing special. The crudite was nice but I would have like more veggie bundles. Overall, there's nothing that is going to make me a regular here.

SO DELICIOUS! They’ve really outdone themselves in their soft launch. The vibes are lovely, the decor and ambiance is relaxing and warm, and the service is really knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. We got the grilled vegetables, the oysters, the milk bread, the soba noodles, the scallops, and the dorade fish and it was all truly special and great. Really interesting original and well seasoned. The Paris Breast was also an excellent dessert. I could tell there was a lot of thought put into this menu. We have been longtime fans of Kosen which was how he heard of this spot, and it truly did not disappoint. Perfect for special occasions! Chef Alex, Rachel, and Samantha were all very cool. Highly recommend!

We went the first week and possibly first day 5/27/26 of their soft opening and they were super welcoming. While they didn't have their liquor licenses in yet we were informed before coming in and they had great tasting sparkling tea as a suitable alternative. Although kind of expensive for just sparkling tea. Our server then took us through the menu and explained everything and made recommendations. The milk bread was so fluffy, soft inside and perfect crispy/crunchy still exterior. Our surprising favorite of the night. Then, we also go the chilled soba noodles and while light and refreshing just not to my taste (XO sauce seemed to be too seafood forward for me) my partner liked it though. Our main was the steak, perfectly medium, it was salted enough to the point of slightly too salty, but super soft to eat and great flavor. The potatoes on the side were a great texture as well, super crispy and still pillow soft inside, together with the steak an amazing bite. We ended with the corn waffle and it wasn't too sweet with a nice corn flavor and the berries to contrast. Texture to me felt a little gritty in the waffle - but that could be the corn, however still a good finish to the g

We were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Mei. Given the tenderness of the staff and the quality of the food this is sure to be another landmark restaurant within the greater Tampa area. The milk bread was absolutely delicious and perfectly we enjoyed the lamb chops and the duck which were cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the fish and the dessert which were phenomenal. This is definitely going to be a go to restaurant in the St. Petersburg area. Cheers to Chef Alex and thank you very much for allowing us to be a part of the grand opening festivities.

Chef Alex has taken his experience at Kosen and kicked it up another level. Our water Aaron was great. Personable, and a great guide through the evening. We started with Milk Bread and Mussels which were incredible. The Mussels are a must order. Best we have ever had. The scallops and steak combo to share made for a great dinner entree. The sticky toffee pudding was classic and very unique with the orange in it. Incredible food. Amazing atmosphere. Huge addition to the downtown St Pete food scene.
